Find Your Homestuck Troll Blood Color!

Yeah so here is how it works! You need to figure out your sun sign, and your moon sign. There is a calculator similar to this one out there, but it doesn't take in account jade bloods or mutants.  This also doesn't require rounding. Hussie has already stated that the only troll blood colors that exist are the ones we have seen in the comic + lime. I also had to take in account that the jade blood color is rare, but the odds of getting jade with the distribution unadjusted are extremely high, so I figured out a way to make it work so it makes sense. I also took in account that fuchsia blood is extremely rare, and so is being mutant.    The distribution that I am working with is a pyramid.  I'll explain the breakdown at the end.

Next you need to add up the values of the 2 signs.
The values for the signs are:

Aries-1
Taurus-2
Gemini-3
Cancer-4
Leo-5
Virgo-6
Libra-7
Scorpio-8
Sagittarius-9

Aquarius-11
Pisces -12

For example, my sun sign is Aquarius, and my moon sign is Sagittarius, so my blood number is 20. Check your number with the chart. There are three special cases (for jade, fuchsia, and mutant), which I will talk about at the bottom. In the chart I also have the percentage of people that should fall into that blood caste.

Burgundy (Aradia)- 2 or 3 (2.08%)
Brown (Tavros)- 4 or 5 (4.86%)
Yellow (Sollux)- 6 or 7 (7.63%)

Jade- In order to have jade colored blood, if you are female both of your signs have to be Virgo.  So 6+6 is valid, but 5+7 means you have green blood. If you are male, both your sun and moon sign have to be Virgo, PLUS your rising sign has to be Virgo as well. Here is a link to calculate your rising sign: www.horoscopeswithin.com/calcu… . If you are female, only your sun and moon must be Virgo, but if you are male, your sun, moon, AND rising must be Virgo. Jade bloods are rare, but male jade bloods are practically unheard of.
Mutant- In order to have candy red blood, both of your signs have to be Cancer, PLUS your rising sign has to be Cancer as well. Here is a link to calculate your rising sign: www.horoscopeswithin.com/calcu… . If any of your signs aren't Cancer, you are not mutant, you are a lime blood.

I went with more of a pyramid shape distribution because it makes more sense to me. I'm under the impression that Alternia had a large middle class, with smaller upper and lower classes, since it is a technologically advanced planet. The lowbloods are also at he bottom of the caste, which is common for minorities anywhere, so that explains why the lower classes are less common than the middle classes, they are the minority. Lowbloods are known to be likely to have psychic powers. I assume that around half or less of the population has any sort of psychic powers, I don't believe it is generally the norm. If the majority of Alternians had psychic powers, I think things would have been a little bit more chaotic than they already were. The lime bloods are self-explanatory, Calliope said it was a very common blood color until they all got hunted down because of their powers. (Another reason I think low bloods are less common than one might assume since they are likely to have powers. I feel that if the lower classes were very large the tables could have been turned on the high bloods.) Green in my opinion is probably the most common blood color, as Equius said that it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. To me they are the obvious middle class, as they appear to be the most "normal." It is unlikely many of them have powers like the low bloods, and they are not prone to violence like the high bloods, so they keep the balance in a way. With jade bloods, they are stated to be rare as their purpose is to attend to the mother grub, and there is no need for a ton of trolls to do that. 1/144 seems like that might be an accurate representation, if only 1/144 people had blue eyes, people would consider that 'rare'. Teal bloods I believe are relatively common, but not as common as the green bloods since we are starting to tiptoe into highblood territory at this point.  It is stated that they commonly take civil servant positions. My projected teal blood percentage is 14.58%, and in the United States, the government employment percentage (federal, state, local) is in the range of almost 20%. I'm using the US as my reference since the comic is American. Higher blood classes probably take up non-civil servant governmental positions as well, so that would "fill in" the other part of the percentage, and I'm sure not all teal bloods are civil servants. The rest of the way up the spectrum, the percentages continue to decrease. I'm not under the impression that any of the highblood classes are particularly super-duper rare, and it was not mentioned in the comic. Apparently Vriska is an exception to cerulean bloods having psychic powers, so the cerulean bloods are probably relatively normal and not a rarity. The blue bloods are pretty much the same thing except there is slightly less of them since it is a higher class. Then obviously purple is the rarest highblood land-dwelling class. I think there is a small amount of sea dwellers since they are considered aristocracy, but there has to be a decent population or else Eridan is even more delusional than he already is about genocide. Mutant candy red blood and royal fuchsia blood are both rare (1/1728 in my chart) but they are supposed to be. Obviously on Alternia the chances of being either of those is astronomically way less than that, but I think it's fine for this sort of thing.
